maybe it's not my weekend, but it's gonna be my year.

the start of another year is now upon us. the 2000s are behind us, and the 2010s are in front of us. the past decade has held some of my most treasured moments: friendships, relationships, proms. even some of the more simple things: holidays, movies, endless days of learning. i will treasure these moments for the rest of my life. however, when a new year starts, it's time to look forward and not behind. 2010 is not just another year, but the beginning of the decade. although i've spent many a new year compiling lists of resolutions, it never followed through. but, seeing a whole new decade as a clean slate, i'm determined to make 2010 my year. the biggest thing in my life is a life list, which i'll describe in an upcoming post. i hope you'll make 2010 the year you try something new, get bolder, and truly live your life. i know i will.

after all, 2010 would be nothing without the misadventures of a blonde at heart.

i'm back, blogosphere!

& not without some crazy updates to my life.

so, i've decided to return to my hometown and go to community college. i think it'll be for the best.

i'm on the hunt for a job (praying victoria's secret will hire me--reduced priced undies!).

and christmas time is almost here!

& i promise that all of my features i wanted will be on the blog soon. i will tie a little ribbon around my finger so i won't forget anything!

blonde at heart's very first man of the moment is justin timberlake, the first celebrity i have ever loved. maybe it was the silky smooth voice that easily transcended into falsetto or the slick dance moves that made him stand out in the boy band nsync that caused me to fall in love with him. justin timberlake is becoming a force to be reckoned with in hollywood: singer, actor, funnyman, and now emmy winner. timberlake has been linked to britney spears, alyssa milano, and cameron diaz to name a few. and now that his relationship with jessica biel is (reportedly) over, i hope he'll stay on the market long enough for me to get to him!

what to expect from blonde at heart.!

i'm brimming with ideas for this blog, so i thought i'd share some of the upcoming features with you! as a boy-crazy girl, i'm bringing a feature called "man of the moment", or "motm", to the blog. basically, i'll be putting up fun facts, a short bio, and hot pics of the motm. everyone loves a little eyecandy! =]

also as a sometimes musician, i'd like the blog to have a "soundtrack", so i'll have a tiny list of songs recommended for reading the blog. the best things in life are accompanied with music.

my personal pet project will be the "street style" entries. it goes like this: i go about my daily life, find someone on the street, ask them about their outfit and style tips, and i bring it to you guys on the web!

also, look for diy fridays where i bring you a diy project, complete with photos.

welcome to blonde at heart, the very real, very crazy blog about my life. i'm courtney, whose stories, rants, and other complete randomness you’ll read on this page. i decided to title my blog “blonde at heart” mainly because i’ve been described as one for so very long. i choose not to think of it as a negative; sure, sometimes i’m kinda spacey and quirky, but I think it gives me character. besides, some of the most successful women in history were blondes: marilyn monroe, princess diana, etc. i’ve been wanting to start a blog for quite awhile and after inspiration from my friend matt’s wonderful blog (which you should check out), I decided to take the plunge. my biggest goal in life is to become a fashion designer. it’s the only thing I’ve ever wanted. i’m currently a college freshman, studying fashion design. i have great friends, a supportive family, and a wonderful boyfriend. i feel most like myself when i'm at the beach, and i love all things fashion and hollywood. so, sit back, relax, grab an ice cold arizona arnold palmer, and enjoy the misadventures of a blonde at heart.
